Default 4X4 prohibited to run quicker than 9.99 in 2006

It's almost all the way at the end of the rules found here.

Four-wheel-drive is permitted per class requirements; four-wheel-drive vehicles running quicker than 9.99 are prohibited.

Get that 9 second run in Jim!

Once you are in 4WD and under load it will not come out of 4WD as it is physically impossible to disengage. Hitting the button to go 2WD mid track won't do a thing.

I really can't see any purpose for this, especially if both driveshafts have loops other than CYA for insurance purposes. Your 4WD components were not made for 130 MPH usage so it opens up the tracks to potential lawsuits. Another benefit of our litigous society....

Honda trans axles weren't designed to have turbos thrown on the motor and run 15's eigther.

I'm thinking it might even exclude AWD imports such as DSM's, EVO's, WRX/STI's, etc.

Syclones and typhoons might also be excluded too!
