Default 318 mods/lowering questions

Hey, I was wondering what I could do to gain some hp from my 2001 318. It's got around 125k on it, and it's my daily driver. I'm not really wanting to do an engine-swap, and I'd like to mess with the electronic stuff as little as possible. (If anyone knows someone in the Southern-Middle Tennessee area that is good with wiring, I'd appreciate it).
Also, where can I find some lowering kits on a budget...I'd like to lower the rear about 2", but can't find a lowering kit that doesn't involve both the front and rear. If anything, I'd do a 2/4 drop. Does anyone have any pics of what this would look like with 20s?

I know it's pretty old but i'm gonna throw in my $0.02 You could do some viper 1.7:1 ratio rockers. They fit the magnum motors, and it's an easy way to squeaze a little extra lift out of it without going into the motor. I think i remember reading that you might have to knock the baffles out of the valve covers though. You can get them here for around $100 http://wholesalemopar.com/parts_catalog.html

is it a dakota or a fullsize. the ram could use the shackles but you only need blocks for the dakota.

Default Photochop?

it's a ram. what kind of headers would y'all recommend? long or shorty? brand? thinking this and a cold air kit might be next on the list as well as a lowering kit. so far the only one's i've found are belltech and DJM, i like the quality of belltech, but can't seem to find them anywhere. anyone know where i could find some? also, if anyone's got good photoshop skills, could y'all show me what my truck would look like with a 2/4 drop. here's a couple of pics

thanks

bionicdodge.com is a really good one to check out. I have been messing with a 94 ram sport for about ten years now and it has gone through a lot of stages. Ebay has some real cheap options for the headers, cold air intakes, and mufflers. Go with magnaflow for sure for the sound and quality. Flowmaster is junk and resonates really bad in the cab. Front spindles or lower control arms for the drop is the best way. Check out Djm, Chassistech, and Belltech either by google or Summitracing.com. On the rear you can do a simple flip kit for about a 5 inch drop or a shackle and hanger kit. Dearched leaf springs are a little easier to install though, try Hotchkis. The comp cams Extreme Energy cam with 216 @.050" and 480 lift is a great cam for the 318. I had it in my 5.2 for a while before I went to the 5.9 and it was a little screamer. The computer is a learning computer so its ok to stay with but a Mopar Performance ECM would be a good choice. An aftermarker 53mm throttle body can normally be had for around 150 on ebay or the above mentioned dodge forum. Also edelbrock makes some decent heads that you can get for about 1500 for the pair. The 1.7 rockers are a good bolt on but you do have to get taller valve covers or modify the stock ones. As always a good fresh tune up and regular maintenance goes a long way also. Good luck.

k, thanks. though not to take offense, but I kinda like my Flowmasters, and they don't resonate that bad in the cab, they just remind u of what ur driving...Which headers are better, long or shorty? I know the shorty's are less $$, but what's the benefit of the long tube headers?
