Pulling the fuse or removing the bulbs will not work because the driving lights are the head lights they just come on at a less power/ brightness when you start it up.
Thanks

I've always been curious why people want to shut them off. I see people all the time around dusk that don't have any lights on what so ever and you can barely see them from a distance.
The only reason they don't turn them on is because it doesn't help them see the road, but the purpose of them is so you can be seen. depending on the color of your vehicle, someone coming from the other way might not see you and try to pass a slower car and then not have enough time to get out of the lane by the time they notice.

I also never understood why people would say those lights drive them crazy. can they really see their headlights from the driver's seat?

Anyway, that's my rant. Here is something I found in a google search that you could try.
Not sure if it's the same for yours but you can at least have a look and let us know if it works or not.

I'm with you on this one.
When they were implemented the number of t-bone crashes decreased a great deal. The ones were the driver pulling out is wanting to cross in front of you to go left were in the worst numbers.
This also kept Ins rates down too.
It all vanity and about how they feel their vehicle looks like with them on.
If mine were to blow they would be repaired.

there's a relay box under the dash, left side by the parking brake. I'm pretty sure that it's the top left relay.

Auto lights on a 96 Silverado
I did this on my 96, I cut the top left prong on the relay, and plugged in the relay to the same spot. You can test it by "bending" the prong on the relay upwards, and plugging it back in before you cut it.
