Delete Driving Lights

Under the driver's side of the dash, to the right of the steering column, is a black box called "daytime running lamp module". Find it and unplug it. Your headlamps will still function normally, and your daytime running lamps will not. However, your green DRL indicator on your cluster will still light up.

I've got a 98 and the best ,easiest way is to press the e brake a little till they go off,don't take much,and won't hurt a thing......

why dont you just put them on a separate switch? thats what i did, and i use them now as fog lights

i disabled mine so i could run with the ambers sometimes, or if i am trying to be sneaky

Exactly what you are suppose to do. Then you can pull the cluster out and take out that bulb so you don't see that light.

The best thing to do is pull the fuse. The only other accessory this fuse circuit was ever used for in production was factory fog lights like the 2000 Tahoe limited has. No need to hack up wiring, just yank the fuse - very simple. This is a GMT400 truck we're talking about, some advice above is for GMT800.
