Default Stock Duramax Muffler Size

I am having a hard time finding this info. I want to use a stock duramax muffler on my turbo'd 410 stroker, but cant find if any of the different year dmax's were 4". I know the earlier ones were 3.5", but what about the new ones? The rest of my exhaust is 4" off the downpipe, so a 4" muffler would be ideal. I know magnaflow makes a big 4" muffler but I want this exhaust as quiet as possible even if it is sightly restrictive (ie, stock); I have a cutout for when I want it loud.

Almost positive it is 3.5 still.. IMO a STOCK duramax muffler would be a restriction for you bortha..

The two magnaflows I have in series now is still louder than I would like, and I dont have room to add another one.... I wonder how much of a restriction it would be still. 3.5" isnt exactly small, and like I said I have my 4" cutout pretty much right off the downpipe.

How big are the mags you have on there now?? I think the 3.5 exhaust will be ok, but the muffler itself is pretty restrictive from what I have read on some oil burner forums..

I know where you can buy one of their 4" systems like that one.

Also 2ktransam runs that exact system on his front mount turbo.Shoot him a pm and get his opinion.

I have a 4" corsa db series deisel muffler. Sounds fantastic wot. too loud on the interstate. I am considering adding a 4"diesel cat if I can fit it.
