Default My LB7 Dirtymax

Well, I picked up this 2001 2500HD for a decent price, thought I'd share. The PO "riced" out the truck, so I spent the last week cleaning it up a bit. Still has a ways to go though. Waiting for a new tailgate cap from the dealer, and I need to have a couple of dings removed, buff & wax the paint, and detail the interior. Here's some pics from the day I picked it up.

What are the plans?

And what is the plan for the 01' since you bought the diesel?

So I assume you ripped off the fender vents immediately after handing the PO the payment...

These things even have 3 little blue LED's in them, wired to the turn signals.

Not sure WTF these things are good for. Very little light output, and they look like hell.

Can't forget the steering wheel cover, and 15 different air fresheners....

And the brand new set of wheels & tires, but didn't spring for the lugnuts?

Has a couple dings in the bedsides. Waiting for the paintless dent repair guy to come around & take care of these for me.

Finished the debadging, scored some head & tails from a customer that went e-Gay on his truck, still need lugnuts and the dents fixed. I'm probably gonna clay bar it, then give it some wax. Still need to clean the interior too. Here's how she's sitting right now.

Let me know what you think. I'd like a stock fuel door on her, and maybe some stainless chrome side steps. I'm short, and I'm not used to jumping in & out of a truck this height. They also kinda hide the frame.

I don't really want to need a buit Allison, so right now I'm thinking about gauges or a moniter of some type, and a mild tune. Should be fun to drive, and still be able to tow and haul.

As for the blown truck, I've achieved all of the goals I ever dreamed of with it. And I don't feel like spending a bunch more money on it to go faster either. We haven't decided yet, but we may end up putting the goodies on the Yukon & sell the truck with a stock engine & trans. Who knows.

Naw, I left them on there for a week, and told everyone I thought they were bitchin!

Then I ripped them off! John(Mangled) keeps asking to buy them though, so I have them set aside for him.

It's the pushbutton 4x4 case. NP263? I don't remember if that's right or not.

I know it's the one that can have the pump rub problem. The PO thinks he had that fixed already, so I'll have to open of the t-case to find out.
