2500HD sway bar ??

I searched on this and it seems results were mostly aimed at 1500 and lowered trucks.
I have an 07 2500HD "Classic" (old body style). It is the most heavy duty truck I've owned. My previous trucks include S-10s, 80 1/2 ton, 04 RCSB, and most recently an 03 Dakota QC. My only point is they have been more "sporty". I don't have any false illusions of hitting the road course with the HD, but I have frequently added aftermarket sway bars in the past. I have been very happy with the results especially with the Dakota, which was the highest sitting of them.
Is there any reason the 2500HDs do not have a factory rear bar?
Is there any downside to installing bigger aftermarket bars on a truck that will not be lowered, and was purchased to tow?
Any 1st hand input on the Hellwig vs ADCO debate?

Between driving my dad's 3/4 ton and my 1/2 ton Silverado, his has a lot less sway.
The springs on the back of that thing are pretty stiff so, in my opinion, it didn't sway as much.
My truck has an ADDCO sway bar too. Which I dont really care for. I don't like the linkage on it. I prefer the way the stock sway bar is linked on the Tahoe.

Thanks Zick, I read up on Frederico bars and sent them off an email.
So far my choices are:
ADDCO 1.375" solid front and 1.0" solid rears for $333.04 shipped (certain auction site)
Hellwig 1.5" solid front and 1.25" rear for $475 shipped (certain auction site)
Frederico bars, unknown size (at this moment) $499 plus shipping
Anyone have input on which to go with? Are the frederico bars aimed at diesels? I would assume they can use a bigger bar as they are heavier...

I would very strongly recommend that some of you guys do a little research on Tom Frederico on the impala SS boards such as www.impalassforum.com

Yeah but how many years ago did that stuff happen? Do you have an actual link to what he did cause I heard about an issue before but don't know the details.

my dad has had two NBS 2500HDs. he put the hellwig rear bar on the first one, but kept breaking the drop links. seems the best addition to both trucks in the handling dept was Bilstein shocks. ditch the stock ones and switch to yellow.

I personally went with Rancho RS9000X 9 way adjustables because I tow a trailer with heavy pin weight every once in a while and I can adjust from one extreme to another.
