Good to hear! I ordered my Bilstiens the same day (as the sway bars). They should be on today if I get time.

In speaking w Tom, the hardware for his kit is much higher grade (than the basic hellwig stuff). Hopefully this will not be an issue w his set up.

Update: I have the Bilsteins on. I am impressed. I loved them on my previous Dakota, and know all to well how crappy the 4th gen OEM shocks are (which I replaced w Konis at 20k), but was pleasantly surprised at the improvement over the 11k mile stockers.

BTW, anyone who does not believe me or is on a budget: my stockers are in classifieds!

I put the Frederico Bars on today.

I am a happy camper. Definitely allows taking on ramps and other corners with more confidence.

On my previous truck, a 03 Dakota Quad Cab 4x4 (w/ V-8 and 5-speed manual of course), the bilsteins and Hotchkis sway bars were my favorite mods. On the 2500HD, same deal, the better shocks and sway bars took away that driving the living-room feeling.

Its not ready to chase my Z28 around the road course yet, but the improvement is better than expected.

Rather harsh there Mr. Phillips. The problems you speak of from years past were all rectified. Actually they all stemmed from suppliers like Hellwig. When we first started out, as a small company, we were the little guy and had low priority on getting parts manufactured. They eventually all were made and delivered. I apologize for that. But that was more then 5 years ago. Since then business has flourished, even today in this horrible economic atmosphere of doubt and uncertainty.

In regards to my presence as a Moderator on the Impala SS forum, I relinquished my duties as moderator due to the fact I could not give it the personal attention one needs to in order for it to be a benefit to the community as a whole. I am very welcome at the Impala SS forum by the owner/administrator Scott Williams as he has taken over my carpet line www.impalasscarpet.com. We have and will continue to work closely and do business with one another as our products and service have been and continues to be the best available to the community hands down.

In closing try as I may in life, I have found that one can not please all of the people all of the time. That being said, it does not mean I/we will not continue to the the very best one can personally do, to be the very best he can. Our products and service speak volumes over any printed words. That is the very reason my products carry my name. The buck stops here and I am always available for anyone to contact me and at anytime.

Tom Frederico
