I am thinking about getting a vette as a new toy and my budget is about25k which would u guys pick ? A low mile c5 zo6 or a higher milage c6 not a zo6 . or i could get a plane c5 with a 6 speed stick for around 18k and spend 3-4k on mods ? not looking for a daily driver but a nice weekend fun car looking for ideas

Do u know how reliable those c6 vettes are ? I would imagine those engines would go over 100k miles easy with good mait

 

I hate 05s for one simple stupid reason.. They have to have the ugliest steering wheel ever made, buy a 06 fore sure

 

We had a C5 Z06, cammed, lowered, corsa's, lt's, etc. Ran over 115K and still going strong. Have LOTS of buddies with Vette's--some of them with two. Either are a good choice. If you want mods, pick up an already modded C5 ZO6 with decent mileage for your budget. Either will make you happy, I feel fairly certain.

 

C6 hands down, drive both, C5Z first then the C6 and your decision will be made

 

It could be worse. The steering wheels on the C5's could be like the ones on the C6's--same ones on the G6.
