Default Trucks Runnin' like Crap

On the same day i installed my LTs and ORY, i pulled out my nitrous system cuz i wanna go with a different setup. so i used a small rubber plug to plug the hole in my intake tube. so, after getting everything back together, the car ran OK but needed to be tuned for the LTs. i had noticed some serious KR the week before as it was the first 100*+ day but i thought nothing of it.

well, after it was tuned it felt great for like 2 days but now i have major hesitation at low speeds and at like 1/4 to 1/2 throttle, and from a dead stop but alls well at WOT. my tuner got rid of burst retard and desensitized my Knock sensors so i thought is was knock. well, the little plug fell out last night and it made these problems much worse. this led me to believe that it was an air leak, not knock, making me run lean. however, today i replugged the hole nice and tight and checked all the intake plumbing and all is well. however, the hesitation is still there, even on a cool day.

it almost sounds like its runnin real lean but i have no way of knowing for sure. any suggestions? could this be caused by my leaky header confusing the O2s? also, i am noticing a lot less smell out of the exhaust than when the ORY was first put on. sorry for long Question, just wanted to present all the info.

Anyone?
When it hesitates it pops out the exhaust pretty noticeably, could this be caused by exhaust leaks?

well if you have exhaust leaks it is going to tell your truck to run richer so, do you have a scan of it?

Pull a plug, if you don't have scanning software, that should give you a good idea if it is lean or not..

dont have a scan yet, i'm buying HP Tuners within a week. i just pulled the negative on the battery to reset the PCM, i will pull a plug tonight to check. thanks for the help.
Also, how serious of a leak would cause this problem? i have had a leaky driver side header for a while now with no probs, so this must be worse.

get under the truck and check it out. have the leaks fixed and go from there. if you still have a prob you can post up a log and help more when hp tuners arrives.

thats pretty much the plan. i pulled out onto the highway last night at WOT and it fell flat on its face and then the SES started blinking (misfire).
Oh well, overall it feels a little better after clearing the PCM but who knows.

Just wondering, wouldn't only leaks before the O2s cause them to read wrong and mess my **** up?

where are your leaks? if you have leakes at the head before your headers its gonna run like crap regrdless. just a question but, are your spark plugs tight? another member on here was having problems and i found a plug to be pulsating in and out of the hole.

I would start checking all the spark plugs and wires. could you have damaged a wire when installing the lt's???

checked the plugs, all are tight and they all look good. i had the PCM scanned at my local shop and it looks like cylinders 4 and 5 misfired. #4 had 168 on record and #5 only had like 38. wouldnt all the cylinders misfie, not just one per bank?

i guess its posible i damaged a wire, but i think that would cause a more consistant problem.

also, i have no codes thrown about running rich or lean which seems strange if thats the case.

Damn it i need HPTuners this thing just feels like every time i hit the gas.
