so i'm ordering HPTuners as soon as the bank opens and i can deposit some money in my account but for now more questions.

i changed the manifold gasketsand the truck seems to be running a little better. however, here are my problem areas.

If i take off slow from a stop/low speed roll and then get on it it feels fine (a little sluggish, but not bad) but if i whack the throttle even at like only 15% throttle it bogs (kinda stutters actually) and then pops and bogs until i let off the gas and then i can hit it again and its fine.

Could an exhaust leak cause it only to bog at very low speeds. Acceleration Enrichment was mentioned in another thread? Maybe Knock?

Any ideas would be great.

When I first put on my lts my truck would pop very randomly at low rpms (under 1500), and be sluggish from a stop. Mines got a cam so I didn't see any missfire, but I noticed a plug wire being blistered from the headers.

That was my whole problem, one plug wire.

thanks for the input, i am beginning to think that they are the only reasonable solution since the only things i touched when i did the install was the intake tube, header gaskets and the plug wires. so far i have changed the gaskets and triple checked the intake so the plugs are suspect.

The poping at low rpm's and light throttle sound like it's rich to me. I am experiencing severe richness after a cam swap and it sounds just like what you describe. Get some kind of scanner to check the fuel trims and see if the pcm is adding or taking away fuel after you check the plug wires.

HP Tuners is finally up and running and it looks like my fuel trims are adding a lot of fuel all the time. my long terms are almost always above +8 but often at 15+ and the short terms fluctuate... usually the lower the long term, the higher the short term. i will post up a log from my drive to work in the morning.
