could this be a transmission module problem or more likely a mechanical problem it a 2002 4l80e mated to a 6.0l. has anyone else had this shifting problem? its only in the second to thrd shift.

Is it tuned? this makes a difference.

If it's stock and doing it somethings wrong. If it's tuned and has been doing it since you tuned it then you just adjust the pressure.

if its not the tune what kinds of things could it be? i flushed the trans and put new fluid in it then drove from Ft. Worth to San Antone (about 360 miles) and it progressivly got worse. also it shifts very quickly to fourth after the second to third shift every now and then.

no no no. You shouldn't flush your trans. Just drain and refill. Not saying thats it but that might be causing it. Flushing the trans can/will do more damage than good.

Word only about 1 out of 5 trans flushes actually work. The other 80% do more harm than good. I would say get a tune and have the tuner soften up the 2-3 shift probably by 4-6%
