Default TC/SC tune differences

This isn't necessarily a GM specific question, but what is the difference between tuning for a supercharger versus tuning for a turbo? Does the fact that the turbo's boost comes on gradually have any real impact on the tune overall?

Maybe cause you can have full boost and low rpms compared to SC and it hits different cells.

A turbo tune would have to account for situations that a supercharger tune wouldn't, right? Since turbo boost is a bit erratic, and supercharger boost is more or less linear compared to rpm..

supercharger boost is directly related to throttle, whereas turbo boost is more a function of engine load and rpm.

That doesn't answer his question. And besides, none of the adjustments that I make on my tune take into consideration throttle position. It is all by rpm and kPa in a speed density tune.

I thought I'd have more responses than this lol. I've seen some people on this site swap from super to turbo and drive it without doing any retuning at all. How safe is that?
