That setup should probably pull around 12 mpg mixed.
Sounds like your tune is ****. And the converter not locking could definitely be due to false misfire from the cam. I set my low limit detect to 1500 rpm. That should take care of that issue.

played with the misfire tables. i can keep the stall locked now but only when the truck has a load on it. either if i am accelerating or climbing a grade on the highway. the second i pull my foot out or start to go down hill it unlocks. what am i missing i dont see anything else i can play with to keep it locked up.

Like mentioned, you need to understand what the minimum throttle release tables do and how they function. Read the descriptions carefully and see what you come up with. Post a screen shot of what yours look like and I'll nudge you in the right direction.

nailed it. i used the program and it didnt change those tables so i left them alone. i will install that this morning and see how it drives. i cant afford to blow up anything else right now so screwing up is not an option.
