Went make a few logs and got something working. First I went find good road that I can hook up on. Without making any changes I nailed it at 50mph. PCM commanded a 2-3 shift at 5750rpm's but trans didn't shift until 6017rpm's. Changed shift at vss from 73 to 83mph and shift at rpm from 6350 to 6500rpm's. Made another log, pcm commanded 2-3 shift at 5995rpm's and trans shifted at 6612. So the trans isn't shifting exactly when commanded but it is shifting about where I want. Before, it wasn't shifting at all. I had to put it manually in 2nd and roll into it so i wouldn't spin then shift into 3rd after I reached 100% tp (about 5000rpm) so it can shift at my desired shift point. Maybe the trans went into manual shift mode and wouldn't shift at all...?

I have never messed with shift pressures but I'm shure Allen Futral did when the tune was done. I do have a vacuum mod kit on this built trans. so I'm not shure if that has something to do with it....

The vacuum mod should take care of all your pressures, so there is nothing you can do there. I have seen some trannys shift late due to lack of tranny pressures, but those were on stock trannys....

So there's no changes to be made int the tune so the pcm would know there's a vac mod kit?

A friend from lafayette built it. He's very good at it and backs up his work. He actually encourages me to tell him any problems or info I gather with it. It shifts quick and firm.
