I looking for tuner for my truck 5.3L. I dont know which one tuner best for 5.3.

I own both and prefer EFILive. The scanner in Live is far superior then HPTs.

 

to be fair to hptuners, black02ss sells efilive & is not able to sell hptuners.

neither package is better for a 5.3. engine size isn't relevant tuner selection.

there are some sticky threads @ ls1tech w/ a little info. i didn't find them to be overly helpfully in selecting a product. downlaod & read the manuals from both suppliers, this may take a few hours. read the fourums @ both suppliers & what issues others are having.

efilive has a few extra features & 6month longer warranty & costs ~$115 more for the base package. you need to determine what you want to do w/ your tuner & if the extra features/warranty are worth the extra dollars.

Yes I am a reseller for EFILive and am proud of it. That doesn't matter as I currently hold/own both EFILive and HPT cables. EFILive has stood by their product and offered better customer serivce. That to me is well worth the little extra that you spend up front.

Both products are top of the line and arguments could be made for both as to which is best. Read over the stickies and if you have a chance try and find people in your area with each of the programs to show you around the capabilities of each.
