It's the a/c compressor discharging extra pressure I believe. I don't think it's the belt. Mine used to do it, but not it doesn't since my tune. When the shift is hard and the rpm's drop quick mine would do it. now the shifts are smooth like butter lol

I don't know about the squeal but it should shift smoother without the TM since it's not trying to pull timing in between shifts anymore.

DEFINITELY FEELS SMOOTHER

NOW I THINK I MIGHT TRY TO FIGURE OUT MY VE TABLES BEFORE I MESS WITH TIMING. FROM WHAT IVE BEEN READING ON HPT FORUMS THEY ARE SAYING TO NAIL DOWN VE TABLE AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE FORST THEN GO FOR THE SPARK TUNING

Ya it tends to save headaches on chasing down KR problems if you have the fueling down good before you start on timing. Honestly I was a little surprised to see no KR at all on your logs with the stock tune and if you added 5* with the VCM controls with only minimal KR it sounds like you have some decent room to add timing. I think you should be able to get WOT timing up to 26*-28* without much problem. Looks like it's only about 19* in the upper ranges of the stock table.

well today i drove home heres approx a 42 min log.... it seems that only under certain throttle positions on the 2>3 shift i am getting 1-2 degrees knock retard...

that scared the hell outta me... is that bad... if you can please check it out i would really appreciate it... ive removed the tm and im not sure but i think that may be whats causing it

I wouldn't be too worried about it (unless you are hearing audible knock) it sounds really minor and the tune has plenty of provisions built in to deal with it. If it is only on the 1>2 shift and you can't hear any knock then it is probably false knock anyway.

Do you have my e-mail address? You can e-mail me the log if you want.
