thanks man, I'm already wobbling around the house and doing crap. that sucks getting bad gas. there's a place that's right next to our beach house in galveston that ALWAYS has shitty shitty gas. Even on a stock tune running their "93" it's terrible. I logged my dad's hummer and with the stock tune and running what they call 93 he was getting some knock and the motor was running like crap. I wonder if it could just be shitty tanks or what? I only get gas at chevron or the valero by our house. 93 esta bien

on another note, I'll have the cam installed in January. I priced all the parts out and I'm going to use my xmas money to get it all. I have "before" numbers and maybe I'll even buy the w/b and upgrade my hptuners after the install. I'll dyno it once the tune is more dialed in with hpt. anyways, I'm rambling since I'm hopped up on pain killers and can't sleep haha.

haha yeah I know what you're talkin about. The first time I saw knock I about **** my pants. It was scary since I've never seen any at all with my motor. It only pulled 2 degrees, but it's still more than I wanted ya know. I ordered some extra credits last night so I can tune my buddy's '03 4.8. It should be a pretty simple little project. I'm still kinda searching around for what w/b to buy. For a short time I had a PLX sm-afr, but ended up selling it b/c my genI retrofit project got stopped short.

do you have the pro interface shannon? couldn't remember if you did or not.

I UPPED THE TIMING AND AT LIKE 3400 OR SOMEWHERE AROUND THERE IT SHOWED 5 DEGREES KNOCK RETARD... IM NOT SURE IF IT WAS FALSE OR WHAT...

BECAUSE I LOOKED AT THE HISTOGRAM AND IT SHOWS A DEGREE HERE AND THERE THEN A BIG 5 RIGHT THERE... ILL POST THE LOG WHEN I GET HOME... DIDNT HEAR ANY DETONATION THOUGH...

NOT SURE IF MY KNOCK SENSOR IS JUST READING SOMETHING THATS NOT THERE OR WHAT... I ONLY UPPED IT BY TAKING THE TABLE AND MULTIPLYING IT BY 1.10

the 5* of retard is probably in the timing table, I don't think it's false. we'll see from the log. to be safe I'd go ahead and adjust the table where the knock came in.

well knowing me.... i didnt take the kr out... just multiplied the whole table by 1.10 again... and had wayyyyy less kr heres the log from a 30 min run with basically 20% increase in timing there was a little kr but once i was done logging i subtracted the max of the kr histogram
