Well I don't know if worried is the right word. That is audible KR and you do want to avoid that, but no reason to get you panties in a bunch...
I looked at you log and you were getting ~ 30* of timing even though your table is set up for 24* in that area. There is an afr correction factor table to the right of the spark tables that is probably doing that. I would zero that table out to avoid confusion.

I need to look at it a little more, but I did notice your LTFT's are all way on the positive side.

Yes. That should give you better control of the actual commanded timing. Then I think you should be able to get the timing up to ~26* without seeing much if any KR. That is proabably as far as I would go without getting the fueling tuned up, providing you aren't getting a bunch of KR at 26.

hahaha, nice call shannon. good ole warranty. I swear I wasn't running 40* of timing

I did a little more tuning myself last night and at WOT in good cold air I was getting around 27-28* commanded. I don't have any knock anywhere and my fueling is pretty dialed in now. I did the LTFT and STFT tuning from a link that was posted. The motor feels good for being pretty stock. I wanna install my cam so bad, but I can't until after the new year . Surgery is this tuesday so i went ahead and installed my drop shackles today. I like it

Just to clarify high/low octane operation does not depend on whether you're in open or closed loop. Speed Density vs MAF operation determines whether the High octane table is going to be used. In the Gen-III OSs, Speed Density is a fault/limp mode and part of that fault mode is to drop into the low octane table.
