Default No AC at idle or stop light

When driving around my ac is great but when I come to a stop, the idle drops to about 600-750rpm and ac no longer blows cold. I have to 2 foot it to get the ac back. Also happens when I remote start the truck hoping to enter a cooled vehicle.
My questions:
Is that too low of an rpm for the ac?
Where should the idle ideally be set to?

That's just one of the downsides of a clutch fan. The A/C shouldn't go completely warm, but it definitely will warm up if you're sitting at a light for a while.

I did not see above... efans or clutch fan? I have the same problem as well... and believe its that 1 fan alone in this heat is not enough to have proper airflow on the condenser...but once both come on....no problems cool anytime.

I believe its a clutch fan. I was also wondering if something in my ac systems was going out. I dont think my temp ever get to an alarming level.

My truck is stalled so bumping up the idle should help right? It would just suck cause i like how loppy it is at lower rpm

It could be low on refrigerant. That's what I'd check first.

As for the fan clutch, unless it's hosed, that's probably not it. My a/c blows ice cold at idle(using a fan clutch). Besides that, if his fan clutch was bad, I'd expect him to have some slow speed and/or idling overheating happening. Especially in the summer heat he has. But there wasn't any mention of that.

Remove throttle body and clean... You idle control is dirty and when ac tries to kick in... idle goes down to low for coompressor... I have seen it happen too many times and more often in drive by wire
