damn! Guess u will one day figure out that the 4l80e is the way to go. My tranny took a dump not to long ago. It was the factory original, held up good till the rear end took it out. Went a head and done the 80e swap from the get go. Been happy ever since.

 

well my buddy who had the truck previously kept putting in junkyard trannys and his friend was supposedly "building" them. really all his buddy was doing was putting in new servos to make it hit second harder, everything else was stock. this is the first upgraded setup thats its seen. not sure what broke yet. will look at this weekend.
80e im sure would be better but not sure on cost

 

Does it move in first, skip 2nd and shift to 3rd or it just free spins in every gear? I had a converter hub break once and the truck wouldn't move at all. Either way it's got to come out to see. Good news is transmissions come out in about half an hour when you do it often enough...maybe thats not good news My 4th transmission swap was to an 80E. Three years ago or so. Still chirps 2nd when I get on it...

 

broke the tabs off my pump in the tranny and the convertor is hub is screwed. new pump and new convertor time
