new tranny truck wont start
#21
damn! Guess u will one day figure out that the 4l80e is the way to go. My tranny took a dump not to long ago. It was the factory original, held up good till the rear end took it out. Went a head and done the 80e swap from the get go. Been happy ever since.

well my buddy who had the truck previously kept putting in junkyard trannys and his friend was supposedly "building" them. really all his buddy was doing was putting in new servos to make it hit second harder, everything else was stock. this is the first upgraded setup thats its seen. not sure what broke yet. will look at this weekend.
80e im sure would be better but not sure on cost

its a blown built motor yukon and seems to hate transmissions. not sure what broke yet. i nailed it from a stop, it blew the tires off and seemed to miss 2nd. then all i have is neutral. no leaks or anything.
tranny has billet shafts, upgraded servo and sunshell. alto red clutches, upgraded bands, and a shift kit. unknown stall speed

My 4th transmission swap was to an 80E. Three years ago or so. Still chirps 2nd when I get on it...
