I can't think of anything in the trans wiring that would let it turn over but not crank. Any other work done at the same time? Maybe the coil packs were left unplugged?

didnt unhook anything but the tranny and transfer case. like i said my friend did ground the starter wire accidently, whiched shorted the first time i tried to start the truck. it just clicked and i saw a puff of smoke. i disconnected the battery again. pulled the starter. seperated the wires and taped them up where he shaved into the one and reinstalled. reconnected battery and now it just cranks and cranks. checked plug against block no spark. have fuel pressure on my gauge. fuses under hood look good and fuses on the inside driver side look good. any other fuses anywhere? im at a loss.....

guess i could pull everything back out and redo but jeeezzzus

Suggestion: if you have access to a scan tool, check to see if you have any codes present. If nothing there, using the scan tool check to see if you get a rpm reading when cranking, if you don't then look hard at the crank sensor circuit and wiring. I would also double check all the wiring that travels together with the starter circuit wiring...you might find something fried. Damn I know that sux. Good luck.

are there any wires on the back of the motor that pertain to ignition that i couldve pinched? i cant freaking find anything wrong.
but the sensor on the passenger side of the tranny on top by the servo is leaking fluid. looks like if you press it down it goes down into the tranny and i can pull it back up?!

check ALL the fuses in the underhood fuse box, and id check the ones on side of the dash. id look into the IGN fuses, and the starter fuse/relay.

Well fuel, spark, and air. The TB is probably a safe assumption that it works so air is covered. Are you getting spark? I know you said you have fuel pressure, but that just means your pump is working, are your injectors actually firing?
