No, most mail-order tunes are not Cali Smog Exempt

I don't think so but call Allen anyway. He is a good guy. He can point you in the right direction...

Good Luck

Tuning the PCM is absolutely illegal in Ca, right? But how can they see the tune? I am sure the tune will pass Ca smog- or man am i in big trouble!

Alot of guys running tunes around here, i am sure you'll be ok! Forget the handhelds- i've got one for sale if you really want but i'd go for the tune.

And welcome to Performance Trucks! Where in Cali you from??

if you get a PCM tune from the Pro PCM Tuners, you wont have any problems passing Cali. emmisions. If you do fail, it wont be due to teh tune.

Are they CARB approved and legal, no, but will they pass every emission, visual and driving test out there, YES! Just because it doesn't have a sticker on it, doesn't mean it won't pass. California is one of the most populated states running our tunes, and I'm sure for many other mail order tuner companies out there.
I know for a fact, a well tuned PCM will run cleaner and stronger than a stock PCM.
