Need help tuning cam and TC
#1
Hey, guys. I need a little help. I've ordered a cam and a TC, but I have no idea how to tune for either of these, especially the cam. I'd like to get a fairly close tune together and ready before I install the parts because the truck is somewhat of a daily driver and I can't afford for it not to be useable. If possible, could an experienced tuner help me out? I'd love to buy a mail-order tune, but all on here use EFI Live and I've got HP Tuners. I'd appreciate any help, or even info on what I need. Thanks in advance.
BTW, the TC is the trailblazer TC and the cam is 220/224 .575" lift on 112 LSA.

do you have a wide band? have you read the mountains of write ups on hp tuners forums about tuning for cams? your torque converter isnt gonna be a big problem. just set your tcc duty cycle max to 99 and min to 90, you might change your shift points a lil but, nothing to really keep you from driving it. read the write ups here and on hp tuners

you are really gonna need to log before you get it down really good. you might have to 2 foot it for a little while (hold the gas pedal while braking) until you get the tune ironed out. there is definitely a learning curve to it so, dont get discouraged. you'll get it.
read these thoroughly before starting. also, use the help section in the vcm editor.
