I was using my work laptop (Thinkpad T42) until it died last week. I wasn't surprised though, it had 4 years of heavy use. I've got a loaner HP rugged right now (about 12 pounds), and my Thinkpad T60 should be ready this week. I asked if they would get me an X300 (Almost as thin as the MacBook Air), but they pretty much said I wasn't important enough to get one of those.

I've thought about getting a small laptop for tuning. Let us know how it works out.

Looks like I'm using the crappiest laptop to tune and surf the net with.

It's a compaq Evo N610c with an Intel P4m 1.8GHz, 512 MB of ram.
30 gig HD, Windows XP pro

I don't even know how old it is, got it used for a couple hundred bucks on ebay a while back. Only real problems I have with it is the power cord falls out too easily and the battery life is only good for a couple hours. I'd like to get a new one but I being the cheap *** that I am I'll just keep using this one till it dies. I'll probably look at another compaq since I've had good luck with this one and heard good things about them. I'm going to look into that one that foff667 posted up.
