Just installed my Wheatley tune a couple days ago (tuned for 93 octane) and the SES light came on shortly there after. Went to the shop and pulled these codes.
P0171 & P0174
I know this means the truck is running lean but is this an issue of the new pcm or just a strange coincidence that it happen the same time I swapped pcms? Am i loosing power because of it? Truck feels strong!
Any help is appreciated!

 

its hard to say. If it happened immediately after the install then i would think that the tune could be suspect. also, if there was some faulty sensor that was affecting fueling (O2s maybe) then the new tune may be correct but the VCM thinks its lean. do have a way to view the fuel trims? That would be very helpful.

 

ya it happen within 24 hrs of the tune being installed. No i dont have any electronics to look it up.....a local shop ran the diagnostic on it for me.

 

fixed it......had a leak in the FIPK intake......fixed it and light went off....This tune is amazing!
