Default Input Shaft is Reading 0

Hey guys, i just logged my input shaft rpm, output shaft rpm, and trans turbine rpm, and the input and turbine are reading 0, and output is reading just fine. Take a look at this scan.

I've been reading your posts on the codes. I haven't replied because I can't add any solid input to your problem.

My thoughts. Either PCM, sensor, or wiring issue. From your posts it sounds like you have covered the PCM potential well. Swap the front VSS sensor to rear, if they will swap, and see if the issue follows. If it doesn't that rules it out and points to the pigtail/wiring which I am leaning toward.

That's where I would start first, then I would check your input vss wiring kit that you bought and make sure it's installed in the pcm correctly and in the right location.

You can test vss sensors. but it would be easier to do what ky said.
ANYHOW.
Start with a DVOM, ohm out the two sensors and see if one is different. There are usually a ohm spec but I'm not sure what it is. The other test you would take the pigtail out of the computer and hook it to the dvom and see if the sensor is making a AC wave-length...

Yep, gonna go swap the sensor's right now, i'll get that done, and then i'll log another scan and see what's up. Oh yah, that was a great idea, wouldn't have though of that myself, thanks KY

I swapped those sensors front and back, same result. So it's the wires in the pcm are crossed, which i had double check as labeled they are correct. Now if they were labeled incorrectly then swapping 22 ad 23 pins will work. Do you think that is a good idea? Also, i'll take them out and double check both wires all the way down the line and see if anyhting is pinched or cut.

I found out what it was. I had pushed the wired into the computer harnesses, but not quite all the way, so when i plugged it back in, the wires pushed all the way out. THey get kinda hard to push in, then they click, and i just didn't get them all the way in. Thanks for the help guys.

Sweet, glad you found it. If I'd known you had to install those little pcm pins into the connector thats where I'd pointed you first. I ran into the same thing with the electric fans. Those little pins are a PITA.
