I need some help--- X Link not working at WOT
#1
I have an 06 CCSB and I just did a 408 stroker swap into it. I went with L92 heads and intake. I also went with a 90mm TB from an 08 silverado. To adapt the wire harness I went with the x link. I am having a problem when I go WOT quickly it kicks it into reduce power mode. I reset the DTC (1516) and it works again. My tuner said that I needed to junk the x link and make my own harness. Has anyone else had this issue and if so how did u fix it? Thanks

The x link in my truck has been fine....but another x link in a customer truck has problems.
Light throttle: ok
wot throttle: ok
Half throttle: NOT ok get reduced power mode.
So I open the x link and there is wires sealed in a brick of epoxy...to hide what's in there? I'm thinking its just wires making a loop and no actual adapters or electronics.

I just talked to the guy at Torque Rush and he said that the TB blade is either hitting the stop or it has a burr or something causing it to bind up. He also told me it could be a bad engine ground. I am going to check these and see if it will work out.

I had the same issue with my x-link when using the 08 Truck/TBSS throttle body design with a larger engine and blower. The spring in those throttle bodies arent strong enough for the larger amount of air demand and the blade moves further than then signal can read and puts it into rep or says the tps is broke. The solution for my was to use a ls2-7 throttle blade design and I have never had an issue.
