How to disable PE?

You have hpt 2.0 + just leave PE on and filter it out. Its all in the help files.

BTW: I made those guides for use with the stock 02's and I never mentioned anything about disabling PE fueling

When tuning the VE do not enter PE mode this can be done by simply raising the edit-engine-fuel control-power enrich-tps enable-cold to 100 and avoiding going 100% throttle
That's effectively disabling it. 99% throttle fueling will be nearly identical to 100% throttle fueling and will not be in PE mode.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the guide. It was a great way to get started tuning.

And for the most part, if you use a safe timing table (eg low octane spark table with premium fuel), and up your VE 10% before you start, you should be fine to run near WOT with 14.7:1. Just be careful to watch for knock when you first start moving into higher load cells.
