Default E85 NA...Anyone running this?

Thinking about going the E85 route; was curious about gains and what all is involved in the tuning process.

I know a few guys. they all like the results. I would run it NA if it was more available to me.

You'd see more benefits from higher compression, although there are some gains to be seen with a stock engine. Is your truck flex fuel?

No, not flex fuel. I found a write-up over at the hp tuners boards that kind of goes through whats required. Theoretically the same fueling rules should apply to ethanol as applies to gas right?

different stoich values for sure. you need larger injectors and a fuel pump big enough to supply the demand.

The E85 doesn't take as big of hit from heat, or DA.

Yep, 9.9 something for E85 iirc. Was wondering more along the lines of stoich at idle/cruise, gradually richening to max rpm?

I switched to E85 a while back and love it. Only thing that sucks is there's only one station in my area. I just keep it in drums and plan my trips so I can always make it to the pump if need be. I don't have any before/after numbers to compare but it definately likes the N20. If you have a gas wideband everything reads the same at part throttle and idle. Mine is switched to lamda and always maintains 1.0ish at idle and cruise. In my case it uses more than the normal 30% fuel at WOT.
