Apparently the cigarette lighter is bad. Unplugged it and the fuse didn't blow.

Here's the code p0442 (small leak)

over the past weekend i cleaned my air filter and the mass air was a little loose. Could that have been the problem?

 

That is for the Evap system.

You will either need to repair it correctly or have the tuner remove it from the code list. It could be as simple as a lose or bad gas cap or could be more involved, like a bad charcoal canister or a faulty pressure sensor.

 

I cleared the code. If the code comes up again I will have it taken care of.

evap codes can be a pain. do you make a habit of overfilling your tank?

 

Can't you do an Evap system test with that Snap On? If so do one and see if it passes. The first thing to go usually is the solenoid that vents the charcoal canister either sticks open or closed.

 

I never overfill the tank and yes I can run a systems check. I won't have time to really look into until next weekend.

 

As long as its not the code reader. Yes the Snap On scan tools can do an evap test on these vehicles.
