I got the basic version. Didn't need the pro, and I can always get it later if I go really crazy.

I think it was $450ish US 135 for UPS to rape me. Then I found out that I could have had it sent USPS from Bill at HPT.

I bought mine right off HPT website.

I do need to get a wideband, I basically wanted it to remove TM and change shift points on the truck and the Cruze. Made the Cruze actually tolerable to drive...it didn't have a table for comfortable seats or reliability though. I gained 1.5L/100K and stopped it from downshifting to 4th on every damn hill it came in contact with.

Plus its fun to learn something new. You can do all kinds of bad with your own software...but if you take it slow and read the forums you can get pretty good at it.

Yup...UPS charges a ridiculous amount for brokerage fees.

Its getting a lot better now...but a few years ago it was pretty stupid. I mean I have ordered $50 parts and had the UPS guy ask for $75 in fees. Promptly followed by a "you know where you can stuff your fees"!!

I have a friend who has an import/export license now, so he brokers the stuff him self. He also owns the parts shop I buy 90% of my stuff at, which is a bonus.
