Picked the truck up, heated seats work!
I asked them to update all the modules but he only wrote down about the TCM, so the invoice says there was an updated transmission calibration and the module was updated. BUT, when I looked with the autocal, it shows the same information as the stock calibration - last updated by GM date (june 22, 2011), all the same parts numbers and checksums. Does that mean that they didn't really update it???? That would kinda **** me off, especially since it says in writing that they did. Am I missing something? Should I call and ask them about it or just blow them off? I really wanted all the updates!

Maybe the tech forgot to select it and flash it in.

You can go here and see what calibrations are available and if you have the latest update in your vehicle.

Is this something that's possible on an '01, or will it be more of a standalone deal?

If it wasn't available as a factory option for that make, It will have to be added as a stand alone.

Thanks for this info!! I printed off the calibrations for my ECM&TCM. I'll compare these #s to the part #s autocal spits out and at least have something to go off of. Then I'll be calling the service manager!
If it wasn't documented in the service records that I have been updated, then I wouldn't care as much that I never got the update. But right now, I don't think what's in the truck matches the service records.

Question - When I look at the TIS site and it gives me the list of part numbers, some sections have multiple part numbers. Is the top most number the latest calibrations or are the most up to date calibrations at the bottom? The numbers that the autocal pulled match the numbers at the top of the TIS list, but I don't see the other part numbers, where multiple numbers are listed for 1 section. Example, for the T43 controller, TIS tells me 2 part numbers for the transmission operation section. Autocal matches the top number but I don't see the second part number. I have 24258799 for that particular section.
Thanks for any more help on this, I don't want to call them out if they infact updated me correctly.

I wouldn't know with out looking at the specifics. Usually the latest calibration has a higher number so if it calibration number is 0958765 the new one might be 1243678 for example...

Thanks for the help.
The only thing I can think of is that my truck was updated before I bought it, at the end of May 2012, and the current dealer put it on paper that they updated it but in fact it was already updated? The part numbers did not change before and after the "update", but they also match the TIS website, so I have to assume that I am 1) up to date 2) I got the updates before I bought the truck and 3) the current trip to the dealer did nothing, even though they said they did. I guess I'll assume that my assumption is correct and leave it at that...

On to Data Logging!!
