Default Short circuit help?

Had a bad alternator that was overcharging. Tested to see what they key off draw was and showed 1.3 amps. Haven't rechecked it since putting the new one on, but will tomorrow. Whats the normal draw? Does anything stay powered up for a few minutes?

Alarm system, interior lights, exterior lights. 1.3 amps is fairly miniscule (15w). I'd say check your glovebox light and see if the switch is keeping it on.

I will wait 5-10 minutes to let the modules power down, sometimes longer. Then proceed to pull fuses one at a time until I find the problem. Remember to rig the door ajar switch when you have to pull fuses from the interior fuse panel.

O and I like the draw to be .05-.03 before I let it leave the shop.

I pulled the fuses out and thought i had it stopped. Now something is clicking and drawing 4 amps even with all the dash fuses pulled.

The multi function thing is clicking. I took it out and put it back in and now it clicks about every second with a 4 amp draw. The radio wiring has a 6 amp draw so i know for sure theres a short in it.

the radio, bose amps and bcm, door modules and hvac controller do not go to sleep until several hours after the vehicle has been parked even though the key is off. It's also not uncommon to see the amp draw jump up and down as modules wake up and check the databus for communications then go back to sleep and repeat this cycle for several hours.
