i went and read some of his feedback on the negative stuff. each time he has a slick answer why he screwed up. oh wait, he didn't mess up, everyone else did. all 30 times.

This is a good point. The seller should be required by eBay policy to leave positive feedback as long as they have received payment in a timely manner. Not to mention a lot of sellers never leave feedback for their buyers at all! This is why I have never given negative feedback, but I have given some neutral. I wouldn't even consider leaving a negative for a seller because you know they will just leave it for you if they can. I won't deal with anyone whose rating is under 99%, I'd prefer high 99s. You're just asking for trouble if you do.
