Should I spray it or roll it?

Ok, I bought my last truck with a spray in bed liner and I loved it. This truck doesn't have anything in it which is a problem. I would like to get it sprayed, but there are two things. 1) I would like to do it myself (you guys can understand) 2) I'm in college boys and girls, money ain't exactly just flowing in so money saved here . . . is more money for go fast mods. I have put the roll in bedliner in our work truck and it turned out pretty good. I could always go with the plastic bedliner but we'll see what you think.
So, here is my question, what do you think I should do. (Of course ideally we would all spray it, but if I can save a dollar or two I will . . . but not at the expense that it is going to look like
Thanks once again!!

I say roll it, as long as you take your time and tape off the areas that you don't want covered, it will come out great. My buddy rolled his 02 stepside silvy back in 02, and it still looks great today. He puts a lot of tough stuff back there too, uses it as a truck, and the liner has held up great
Plus, you'll save a lot of dough

Ultimately I would say go line X, but since your wanting to do it your self, roll it on. Main thing to get it to stick and hold up decent, is to have GREAT prep work.. Be sure to get all the gloss off the areas you want coated, wipe it clean with acetone, or thinner. I don't give a crap what it says on the instructions of the stuff you buy LOL, get rid of the gloss..

I've rolled in twice on previous trucks, first time really took my time, sanded the bed good took the gloss of for sure, really prepped the hell out of it and put a good thick coat down. It turned out great and I never had any issues with it.
Second time, I followed instructions and it peeled like hell, looked like crap and eventually had to get a spray in.

If cost did not matter i would say go and have Line-X Ultra sprayed in your truck bed, thats what i had done to my bed and it looks sweet! but seeing as you need to save some money for go fast goods i would just roll it. You can also try to talk some one els into buying you line-x thats what i did, got the good old girl friend to buy it for me for my B-day.

No girlfriend. I tend to loose them every year about half way through duck season. But college graduation is coming up.
I would like to have it sprayed just so I don't have to worry about it, but I think I can do it myself therefore money I can save.

If I recall, the first time I sanded it down to the paint, I didn't sand it all the way to metal, but I knocked most of the paint off, then scotch bright padded it down after that. The took some 3M paint shop metal cleaner and cleaned it up real good after blowing all the sanding residue down. It was not an easy process, basically started on it in my garage on Friday after work and finished the rolling on Sunday. Did the sides, Tailgate, front of bed near the rear window, everything. Pain in the ***, but it did stick and I had that truck for four years after doing it, never peeled or flaked.
The second time I thought I'd just go easier with it, and only scotch brite padded it down to a dull surface like the instructions say, and within a year it peeled and flaked like hell.
