Should I spray it or roll it?

Can someone elaborate with pics maybe what rolling a bedliner is? I have mine rhino lined and aside from that and the plastic shells I don't know what this rolled method is.

Basically like a homemade spray liner. I'm sure you've seen that herculiner stuff or similar products at auto parts stores.

I have done it once before, I don't have pics yet. It comes in a paint can and it looks like thick thick paint, almost tar & it has little chunks of whatever that material is. You stir up the can and then apply it with a sponge roller. I think I have decided to do my own so I will post up pics whenever I do it.

The last truck I did it in was a work truck . . . I am nervous about doing my own.

Prep, prep, prep. You shouldn't have to take it to bare metal or the primer put you definately have to get the gloss off of the paint. Degrease, sand/scotchbrite and then degrease again.
"Rolled liner" is simply using a paint roller to apply the paint. Some have success, some don't. It all depends on you.
If you want to spray it you can pick up a Schultz spray gun at PepBoys for dirt cheap. It is used for spraying undercoating. Add a pressure regulator and you can dial it down to get the texture you want. Just make sure you mask in the rest of the truck because it can create alot of overspray.

My friend rolled his and it looks like crap. He even took his time on it. He had bought a Pep Boys kit. I would wait another 2-3 months and get a line x.

Lightbulb Found a nice D.I.Y. product

I have seen many Internet (<key word here) reviews with photos of the various "Roll-On" A.K.A. Do-it-Yourself kits, and I have only seen one product that I am seriously thinking about installing on my truck bed. That is ..... "Monstaliner" by Magnet Paints. That stuff looks like it works awesome, even if the install is a bit tedious, the finished product and durability look to outshine all other DIY kits. Anyone looking into a DIY kit, should take a look at it.

Thanks for the tip! I'll check them out. Like I said I have done the Herculiner before, but never on my own truck so that's what makes me nervous about it. Hate for it to look like just to save a couple bucks.
