Default running airlines/drops in my garage for air compressor, is PVC ok?

I will be installing a new air compressor tomorrow and I was wanting to add a couple of drops throught out the garage. I was wondering if PVC pipe would be OK to use.

No, it's brittle and when it breaks it shatters. Nothing says fun like plastic shrapnel.

Use PEX or Copper.

PEX is cross-linked polyethylene.
Mainly used for water lines or hydronic heating. But lots of people have used it for air lines.
Just check the PSI rating cause there are different types of PEX available with different PSI ratings.

It's also priced fairly reasonable.

Here is just one of the many threads at Garage Journal about using PEX for air lines.

ya my father had some PVC lines in his old garage for years with no issues, but he was sure to release the pressure when he was not using it... PVC is cheap and easy to work with, i think i might go with PVC, then again i might go check out that PEX stuff at home depot on the way home today.
