i bet it brings up the value on SS's out there now

Until 71ish? so 11 years...
Ls1 cam out in 97 went until 09? 10? We have it better.... unless you are talking about the actual looks of the cars, then yes the 60's were better...(not that I could remember)

i think its a horrible decision for GM but then again, im not the one that will loose my job if new cars dont sell

^ i think its a bad decision too. The V series especially cause that i always thought had a strong market and gave good competition with others like bmw.

Down turn in the market- Same thing happened in the 70's with the inroduction of emssions and of course the gas crisis. Cars went from BB 396 c.i. with 375 HP to SB 350c.i. with 190HP and tons of emissions crap.
Stayed that way all the way through the 70's and well into the 80's, and some would say the 90's...

They'll come back, sooner or later. It's the American Way!
