Default NNBS front bumper Q's

Hey guys, been looking for a new truck for a while now and had my local dealer find me one. Its a 2011 Silverado 1500 ECSB 2WD 6.2 liter. Basically like a TX. Edition, but regional edition since its in Louisiana so it has the 20" wheels. Basically its the exact truck I've been looking for, except one fatal flaw. It is optioned with the Custom Chrome Front Bumper Package, which means it has the full chrome front bumper with the chrome endcaps (which are normally painted) and chrome tow hooks with the silver lower valance, like the new 2012 models. I find this to be hideous with all the chrome. I can swap the tow hooks no problem. My question is how difficult is it to swap the end pieces to painted units? I know it can be done, haven't priced the painted units though. The truck is blue granite and would most likely try to color match the entire front end.

Oh, and this may quite possibly be the last 2011 ECSB 6.2 liter in the states so its why I am inquiring. He's offering a great deal, just needing to find out about the bumper.

Instead of changing out the caps I'd just get the ones u have sandblasted and then painted like I'm doing to my rear bumper

I know the bumper cap kits with fogs are $285 shipped (I put the fogs in mine), may be able to find them cheaper if you only need the caps and already have the fogs. You didn't mention if it does or not. I find the all chrome and silver hideous as well. GM, wtf were you thinking?

Tell the dealership it looks like crap and make them change it before you give them 30k+ for a vehicle that looks hideous from the front... might be worth a shot...

Slammed, the truck does have the fogs already. I would only need the the caps.
Cheyenne, trust me, I plan on trying to get them to include a change of caps at the least before I take possesion, if the deal goes down.

GM, WTF were you thinking is right with the new chrome front end. Going to talk with them in the A.M. so we'll see how bad they want to sell it.

Well, I got down there and it took a while but we finally got a price that I could live with. Then came time to doing all the papers. Dealer called the dealership that the truck was located at and it had sold earlier that morning. LOL Just my damn luck.

They found a couple of 2011 6.2's with the Max Trailering pack, which is more expensive than the 6.2 with the regional packages. There is one though that has potential. I've got my saleman trying to get it in and I should know something Monday.
