I have been wanting to do a old cruzer project, and have been looking at 2 options. Early 60's for both. Lincoln Contenintal, or a Chrysler Imperial. Seems 1962 models look the best to me. I am leaning a bit towards the Lincoln cause of the suicide doors. I want to do a show car type car with bags, and maybe an original motor, maybe original with EFI. I am NOT carb savy. any opinions, maybe other car suggestions to look into. I like 50's cars, but I want that early rectangle look with no fins. or possibly a rat rod.....

Go over to the hamb.
Hamb.com
They have traditional hot rods to sixties customs. You'll find something you like over there. Just don't mention rat rods or they will run you off.
I vote continental though.

build whatever you like better but IMO put an LS in it. the 53 im building is getting a TT LS/60e then my 63 will be getting a healthy carb'd LS/t56, small block and big block stuff just isnt worth messing with anymore

flat black is way overdone, whitewalls can make or break a car. my truck will have whitewalls, car will not, neither will be flat black

The Lincoln is done much more often than the Imperial and suicide doors get old prettty quickly.
I'd like to see the Imperial done and that's what would get my attention at a car show. I'd love to see one done with a F series procharger.
