Default First volt rolled off the assemly line today

60kms per charge, i could go months without paying for gas if i had one. Whats your guys thoughts on this? its a hell of alot nicer looking that 99% of the other hybrids and **** out there

It looks great but the next step is going to be places to charge. I know GE (IIRC) is getting stations set up but they are few and far between right now.

I am pretty sure you just plug it right into your house.

With a charge time that long, it's definitely not a road trip car. But where it would really shine is a replacement for the so called "beater" work car. People making short trips to work/school/grocery store.

That would work out fine since I sleep 10 hours normally anyway. But if you are on a road trip I don't think the hotel is going to let you run an extension cord inside for the night.

It has a I4 1.4 gas motor also so if you had to make a longer than expected trip just put gas in . It starts at 32 grand
