Ok, this thread is going to get moved to the truck stop shortly in an effort to keep the Forced Induction section technical related.

it depends on what you like, but a turbo can make way more horsepower then any supercharger can.

Only on this site can you have a goofy discussion and never get anywhere.

I personally like turbos, ive seen too many belt problems with superchargers. Wether it be belt slip, belts popping off, cranks spinnin on the crank, and high IAT issues.

Does anybody ever wonder why NHRA wont allow turbos on the funny cars and such?

Last thing I want to do is turn this thread into an educational one but...are they actually illegal? I know they are illegal in F-1 racing because of the power they started making back in the late 80's and eary 90's was getting deadly so they put a halt to turbo's in an attempt to limit power but I don't know much about NHRA stuff.

then again with the fuel that the NHRA runs and their rules and regs superchargers play well within those limitations. One of the biggest drawbacks to positive displacement blower is the heat generated by them but ****, NHRA motors can some times freeze up, litterally freeze the top end of the motor because of how cold their **** runs. lol
