They were taken away back in the day for NHRA too. The turbo guys started to dominate so they made it all one (supercharged). I think just recently they started allowing them in the other classes (forgot class name). I'll have to find the info again. It's been a few years since I read it all.

NHRA limits power too, a few years back they cut the octane back on the fuel because guys were going too fast.

I was just reading the other day why turbos were not used on funny cars and top fuel. They were sayin its because there is so much raw unburnt fuel leaving the exhaust and if you tried to put that through the turbo using nitro then bad things happen.

I could see that happening... All that raw fuel hitting a glowing hot turbine/housing. Would amost be like the after burner on a jet fighter lol.

I have the KB kit on mine because its what I want on there. I have installed and drove Magnacharged vehicles. You would not find one on my vehicle even if I hit the lotto. They have their place tough. just put one on a guys GTO. He is happy as heck. IAT's and versatility in turbo selections and changing boost settings on the fly will keep me a turbo guy for life. JUST my 2 cents

I am really enjoying the Procharger but I can't argue that this sounds appealing. This sounds a little easier than changing pulleys LOL
