No I said f that. I can put up with a lot but I can't put up with people who won't even respect my time. I was a good 20 minutes away from that store. Oh well I guess.

[QUOTE=1SlowHoe]I always let them run through their little computer screens. Everything is good right up until they say "4.8L or 5.3L?" I say "6L". You can almost see the fear and confusion sweep over their face.

HAHAHAHA Now that **** was funny as hell!!!!!!!!!! It happens to me all the time . I tell'em 99 GMC Sierra they ask 4.3, 4.8, or 5.3 Then I say 6.0 hahaha I just think that look on there faces is priceless.

I used to work at Pep Boys and man do I have a few funny stories. There was this dude named Ty that worked with me and his *** didn't know ****! I had one of my buddies come in one day and he was messin with him haha he asked for a muffler bearing for his 1963 Chrysler Camaro haha Ty then looks it up in the puter and it didn't go back that far so he is then looking through books and can't find it. So he then tells my buddy ( I have to call special orders to see if they can get it) I was surprized he did all that work to try and find it. He always just called special orders for anything. Well he finally got ahold of someone at special orders and they told him they don't carry parts for very rare cars. Hahaha idiots!!!!!!!!!!

"Tahoes don't come with a 6L"
I say, "I know"
Then I give them the part number for what I need that I had the whole time in my hand.
I tried to buy a belt one time and it was like a goddamn act of congress to tell the guy the computer will not help you. It's a custom application. Then he proceeds to argue that the belt I am buying wont fit. I thought I was gonna have to take my belt off, whip him and ground him to his room.
There is one smart guy there who remembers me and just asks what I need and doesn't use the computer.

I should try telling them it's a 6.7 and see what happens

I've had to use the "custom application" line a couple of times, they seem to struggle with that one. You know it's bad when you can come in there and tell them the part number you need and they still have to look in their computer (just in case you were lying).

I had the az guy try to tell me that the lower radiator hose on my truck was different for the 4.8 and the 5.3. He wouldn't believe me when I told him the exterior of the motors were the same and said "well it says two different part number here"
