Question Anybody know how to lock/scramble pictures

I have some pictures of a big boat raft up me and a friend put on. A friend of mine flew over in his plane and took pics for me. I want to post up pictures. What is the way to put a water mark in the center to keep it from being a clear picture.. I want to have them tell me what ones they want so I can recoupe some of my money.. I know if they try hard enough they can get them, just want to make it easier to buy them from me Thanks for any advice or info. I know it can be done, just don't no how.
Thanks

download the photoshop trial.

put a giant X over the picture.

save it as a new file name, as a .jpg.

done.

heck, you can even do that in paint, just save it as a new file name.

I use a program that is called uMark Lite 1.1. Pretty easy to use and I use for work. Here are a couple samples of what I did last.

I would use gimp (free) and open the picture as one layer then put another layer of whatever watermark you want on top and use ~35% opacity.

GIMP is a good free one, many other free editing programs out there. Or just do it the MS paint way.

If you could make the text larger or in a patter it would help a LOT.

Looks like a lot of fun.
