Default 1970 C-10 or......???

ok guys, my future plans on my truck was custom painting it and a 6.0 swap here in the next 2 months... but someone is selling me a 1970 C-10 shortbed 350c.i. (w/babycam), A/C... two tone red/white, 17"wheels... I have not seen it yet but they said it is almost in mint condition and really clean only thing is that the motor is starting to knock?..... and the price in really tempting its in the 3k range... I have always wanted one of these since high school and would really like to have one, but now that I had plans on my truck Im going to have to pick one or the other.... now Im stuck!! if I buy that one then I'll have 2 trucks sitting at home that are NOT daily drivers.... I'll just have to build and extra 2car garage to put both of them in.... ....

what would ya'll do???

70 C10 short bed

Those are very hard to come by, and they do come with a price. I have seen several project trucks 67-72 short bed running between $6,000 - $10,000, do keep in mind these trucks have no engine, tranny, or interior, they are usually just a big rust bucket. I would trade my 78 C10 in farvor of a 67-72 C10 but I know that will never happen.

If you do get it,it's an investment.

I almost bought a complete running 70 short box for $2300, but decided I needed a daily before a project truck. It was that sexy pea green color too.

I wouldn't sell my 70 C10 ever!!! It was my dads and handed down to me from him. It was pea green and had a 307 with a 3spd in it when he first got it. Over time I did a frame off resto, all new interior of course, snuck a 468 big block in it with a 4 spd muncie transmission I have my tango's with the vette boys and haven't lost a freeway race to one yet (50-110). Nothing like a classic truck that looks like a sleeper and hauls ***

Good to know I persuaded you Now don't even think about replacing the motor unless you're going to stuff a big block in it

I'd say buy the C-10 cause i had the chance to buy a 70 with a vette 427 and a 4 speed muncie for 1500 and passed it up cause it had a little rust i will never forgive myself
