Default '05 Gto A4 (400 Hp)

So, what would it take for a truck to take out an '05 GTO, A4 (stock)?
I have the following mods:

5.3L Reg. Cab.
four link suspension w/ coil overs
hp tuners
long tubes, catless, 3'' catback
cold air intake
ported tb
efans
3.73s

Could this take a stock, A4 400HP GTO? Probably need to hook up the bottle but I was thinkin' maybe TQ managment and wheel hop would do him in....

I have no problem with opinions.... Tell me what you think. Here are my thoughts. Perfect conditions, I would expect my truck to see a 13.9... A stock '05 A4, perfect conditions.... Low 13s? High 12's w/ a stick.
Is that how yall see it?
Thanks.

not too sure what the 6.0l GTOs do in the 1/4 mile
I'd think your truck would need to put out at least a mid to low 13 to give it some competition.

your gonna need some sort of FI, hes got you on cubes, power and on alot of weight. The only way you could win is if he drove into the barrier.

You will need MORE horsepower than the GTO just to offset the weight differential.

WELL I GUESS THIS IS A GOOD TIME TO POST UP MY RACE AGAINST AN 05 GTO A4. IT WAS ME AND A BUDDY OF MINE IN MY TRUCK, JUST FILLED UP WITH GAS. THE GTO JUST HAD THE DRIVER. NOW THIS IS THE DAY AFTER MY CAM SWAP AND IT WASNT RUNNING QUITE AS GOOD AS IT IS NOW. BUT ANYWAY WE HIT IT FROM A 30 ROLL AND I PULLED HIM BY HALF A CAR AND THEN HE STARTED COMING BACK. AT ABOUT 90-95 HE HAD ME BY 1 1/2 CARS. NOT TOO BAD CONSIDERING I COULD ONLY REV TO 6100 CUZ I WOULD HIT THE REV LIMITER AND THE CAM PULLS TO 6500 BUT THAT WILL BE FIXED THIS FRIDAY CUZ IM GOING DOWN TO NELSONS TO GET THE STREET TUNE AND PUT HER ON THE DYNO! ANYWAY I WOULD SAY HE WOULD TAKE YOU FAIRLY EASILY. I THINK IF I COULD HAVE GOTTEN THIS GUY FROM A DIG I COULD'VE PUT AT LEAST A CAR ON HIM ON THE LAUNCH. COURTESY OF THE 3000 STALL. YOU'RE GONNA NEED THAT BOTTLE BAD.

Thanks for everyones replies. I thought I would take the time to reply back to most everyone. Don't take any of my critisism personally... I for one, didn't take yours that way.

I agree fully.
I think I would see an advantage if it were a street race, up to about the end of second gear.
0-80 about.
He has an auto like me. I definetly have more seat time than he does. Not enough of course.

A stock A4 will run 12's? There are '03 Z06s having trouble maintaining 12s. I find this hard to believe. Could you please elaborate or post some data? I check the GTO forums frequently... I'll do some research myself.

You do realize a GTO weights in at 3750lbs w/o the driver. My truck is just over 4000 from the data I have.

Horsepower, definetly...
I'm down about 60rwhp I would guess.

That's interesting. I forget his name but, a guy ran a mid/high 14 with his stock regular cab 5.3 at the track I race at. Conditions, I don't know.
I'm far from stock in the bolt ons/tuning department.

KBOBO:

I agree.

ok ok, here's my opinion, dont take it wrong kyle, but how do you think you can get a 13.9, you have no stall, your missing the pulley, but by all means, prove me wrong, so when are yougoing to the track?

btw, i didnt know that those gto's run that good, i'll have to look out for one.
