Default would you weld it?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to get the shock relocation done on my truck, I have the brackets and have the template for the upper mounts. Problem is my welder, a Clarke 130, is not big enough to weld the 3/16 for the uppers and the lowers is about the same thickness but obviously its getting welded to the rear end housing, how ever thick that is.

Should I hold out and wait till I can get my hands on a borrowed welder that will for sure be big enough to weld it, or could my 130 be enough if everything is double pass?

Thanks
Kody

You could try, turn the wire speed down and heat up. Go slow and let it melt both parts. But that's just MO. Some one migh advise different

I'm located in Tampa Florida.

I don't think I would have a problem with it, but I don't feel like having to re do it.

Yeah I plan to pull the axle to weld the lower tabs, and I might re-design the upper mounts to get more "welded" area.
