Me too and I use a dual shield fluxcore for heavy plate welding everyday lol I make mining shovels 3/32 wire mainly lol

I've only used it twice and can't stand it. I think I might just hold out and take to a friends house to use his welder. The shocks won't be here till Monday so I really can't get all the welding done now anyways. And hopefully I can pick up a nice tig welder soon.

You can put a root pass in with flux core, then grind it down to get the uglies out and run a cover pass with gas. That will look the best.

Drive up here and i will stick weld it for ya

Im a cert. pipefitter welder, we weld a lot with stick ( arc ) and TIG , Stainless, carbon, also MIG a little, but more at home ( thinner metals).

How bout you bro, you rock the hot glue gun too ? LOL!!!!

Yes, TIM knows how to weld. He has done some welding for me on equipment and his welds look like factory and the heat penetration is great. I used to weld all the time, but have been out of it for about 7yrs now. I would like to start playing around again.

3/32" wire is like welding with a coat hanger. Wear a good respirator man. The fumes of that stuff is nasty, but a proper dual shield pass looks almost as sexy as TIG, minus the spatter of course.
